Nate Daly, Head Instructor

Nate began training in the Bujinkan in late 1997 at the Bujinkan New York Dojo with Joe Maurantonio. In 2000, he moved to Atlanta, trained with various teachers there for a few months, then returned to upstate New York where he began training at what would become the Bujinkan Tohoku Dojo under Matt Hildreth. At the same time he started training with Sean Askew at his Bujinkan Kokusai Renkoumyou dojo near Albany.

Along with these two teachers, Nate made his first trip to Japan in early 2001. He made two more trips that year. On one of them he was put up for the godan test by Noguchi Sensei and passed. In 2002 he spent 8 months living in Berlin, where he trained at various dojos and attended seminars, then spent 90 days in living in Japan during which time he participated in over 100 classes including the 2002 Daikomyousai.

In 2003, Nate returned to Berlin where he began training with Oliver Muenstedt. In 2004 he started teaching for the first time and opened the Bujinkan Zenshin Dojo in Berlin. He returned to Japan for a few weeks in 2004. In early 2005 he moved back to New York where he continued training and teaching at the Bujinkan Tohoku Dojo with Matt Hildreth. He returned to Japan for a few weeks in 2007. In May of 2009, Nate moved to Sante Fe, NM. He spent the next year and a half teaching alongside Robert Mattson at the Bujinkan Albuquerque Dojo.

At the end of 2010, Nate relocated to San Diego, CA where he now leads the San Diego Taijutsu Club and continues his own training under the direction of his teacher. He is currently ranked 8th dan.
